On the afternoon of September 29, 2026, the Global Developers Pioneers Conference (GDPS) International Competition for Physical and Intelligent Skills was held in the Zhangjiang Modeling Community. The conference was organized by the World Conference on Artificial Intelligence, organized by the Shanghai Association of the Artificial Intelligence Industry, China Institute of Electronic Technology Standardization, jointly organized by Shanghai Zhangjiang Group Limited, Shanghai Landlord's Mouth Group Limited.
The Deputy Director of the Municipal Economic Informatics Commission, Pan Liu, the Standing Committee of the Pudong New District District District Commission, Li Hui, the Deputy Director of the Center for Information Technology Research at the Institute of Electronic Technology Standardization Institute of China, Dong Dung, the founding Deputy Director of the Center for Information Technology Research, Wang Zhao, the Party Secretary of the Zhao Group, Chairman Liu Yong, the Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Zhao Group, the Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Zhao Group, the General Manager of the Zhao Zhao Party, and the Municipal Economic Informatics Committee, Zhao Zhao Group, the Zhao Group, the Zhao Group, the Zhao Group, the City Association of the Artificial Intelligence Industry, the National Association for the Creation of Artificial Human Beings, the Open Atomic Source Society, the Zhao Robot, the General Institute for Artificial Intelligence Research, and others were represented by representatives of the participating communities.

The 48th World Skills Competition, which has just ended, with the theme "Skills Changing the World" and "Skills Lighting the Future", is a vivid interpretation of skills as the driving force behind the development of innovation in the real world. If traditional skills are at the forefront of practicing human hands-on practices, then in the age of artificial intelligence, artificial intelligence is also the key to artificial intelligence's entry into the real physical world. International artificial intelligence competitions are being carried out in real-world athletics, testing AI's real-world leadership in complex physical environments, and truly having the ability to solve real-world production life challenges.
Li Hui said that the scale of Pudong's AI industry continues to grow rapidly, reaching 10.96 billion yuan in the first half of 2026, an increase of 17.8%, of which AI industrial output grew by 42% and manufacturing-side industrial capacity continues to increase.
The General Secretary of the Association of Municipal Artificial Intelligence Industries presented the general organization of the conference. The conference explored in depth the real-world application capabilities and investment returns of the smart industry through the creation of real-world training spaces in the form of work skills packages and scientific evaluation of key metrics such as real operational success rates, efficiency improvements, safety reliability and economic feasibility of integrated solutions.
The prestigious 2026 Global Developers Pioneers' Conference will be held from October 23 to 25 at the Zhangjiang Science Center in Shanghai. It is not only an international top-level robotics competition, but also a deeply integrated carnival of technology, ideas and ecology that will showcase China's innovative practices and ecological vitality in the field of physical intelligence to the world.

The conference, which is the core vehicle of the International Competition for Physical Intelligence Skills, was implemented in accordance with the overall architectural organization of the 1st Competition, 1st Opening Ceremony, and 1st Developer Activities of the N Games, with the aim of building a demonstration platform for real-world warfare in the field of Physical Intelligence in the country, to help China's robots and physically intelligent technological breakthroughs and scale-ups.
The IEIC International Competition for Physical and Intelligent Skills focuses on the real needs of industry, services, special operations, etc. Based on nine key racetracks and 23 events, the IEIC International Competition aims to bring together more than 200 teams of competitors and more than 300 robotic enterprises, with the goal of creating hundreds of high-value scenarios and achieving a multi-level landing scale.
The developers' series of activities will revolve around the three dimensions of AI vertically-scenic industry landings, focusing on developing developers' ideas and communities, developing the most advanced and practical core topics in the field of AI, building bridges between developers' communities and industry practices to enable each participant to find their own stage.
GDPS 2026 sends a compilation order to global developers: bring technology, go to the real world, test capabilities in real-world missions, break down boundaries in collaborative offensives. This fall, let's get together in Shanghai, Pudong, and explore more possibilities for physical intelligence in real-world warfare, so that innovation can take root in the real world.
