Claude suddenly gave me 500 knives!

It's the first time in the history of the world.

Claude is a "heavy powder" fanatic!
Today, an Anthropic developer account anonymously released a massive announcement.

Claude subscribes to the developer API, which is available monthly for free.

Max 5x sends $100, Max 20x sends $200, Team editions up to $500, and everyone shares a pool.
When the news came out, the AI circle was boiling instantly.
Many developers rushed to report, "Day by day subscription fees, today the official has directly flipped gold coins!"?!

First, let's make the rules clear.
Only Max and Team are eligible, except for the discounted edition of Team for non-profit organizations and scientists.
Free, Pro, Enterprise are not on the list.

Max walks by rank, 5x wins 100 and 20x wins 200, with no suspension.
Not every team gets 500. It's by seat count: standard seats for every $20 and senior seats for every $100, plus total seats in the same pool, covering 500.
A chestnut, three standard seats plus two senior seats, costs $260 a month; a senior seats plus 360 next month.
If you want to eat 500 people, you need at least five high-ranking seats.

The way to get it is simple: you can find the API quota in the claude.ai settings→ Accounts, binding a claude console organization, without having to tie a credit card.
Subscribers can also subscribe to the mobile app, but they must open the web page to use it.
The only threshold is time, and new subscribers need "full seven days" to get paid.

100 bucks, how much can you buy?

This money can be spent on Claude's entire suite of models, including the Messages API, Batch Processing, Control Panel Playground, Managed Agents, and Agent SDK.
As long as a third-party tool supports Claude's API Key, the quantity can be used as well.
But there's a line that's dead, and the interactive Claude Code doesn't work.
图片
In the end, you write code in the IDE with Claude Code once in a while, walk away or subscribe to the amount itself.
According to the official price, the cheapest Haiku 5.5 is $0.5 per million of output tokens, and $100 can buy 200 million tokens per million of output tokens, and even if replaced with the mainstream Opus 5.5, $20 per million of output tokens can buy 5 million.
Roughly translated into Chinese, the volume is several million words, almost enough to write the trilogy from scratch four times.
Officials also handed over shortcuts, calling on the built-in claude-api skills in Claude Code, knocking on a line/claude-api managed-agents-onboard to set up a hosted smartphone, deploying it online, and immediately starting to burn the quota.

Anthropic handwritingThey're trying to get in.
To understand this move, we have to look at the background of Anthropic now.
In May, Anthropic completed its $65 billion H round of financing, with a post-investment valuation of $965 billion, surpassing OpenAI to become the world's highest-valued large model company.
For a company that earns $47 billion a year, hundreds of millions of dollars a month of API allowance is not even close to zero.
But this is not charity, this is an attack.
The current competition in the big model industry has shifted from "who's the strongest model" to "who's the one that keeps developers going".
Top manufacturers have been pushing down API pricing with one goal in mind: to seize workflow from developers.
图片
The essence of the Anthropic trick is that hundreds of dollars are sent out, and in return, users build their own agents, workflows and products directly into Claude's ecosystem.
Once an individual Agent runs on Claude's API, the workflow relies on Claude's Managed Agents, and the product calls Claude's Agent SDK, the cost of migrating is far higher than cancelling a chat subscription.
It's $500, which is essentially an eco-friendly entry ticket for Claude Agent.

The $20 ProCan't wait for a while.
This benefit has a clear threshold: the $20-a-month Pro is not on the list.
In the program that was discontinued in June, Pro users could still receive a programming fee of $20 per month.
In this version, the Pro was distributed directly, with all the money going to Max users who paid $100, $200 a month, and the team who paid by seat.

It's not uncommon for anthropic people to have different opinions.
It's going to be drawn by people who are already working on Claude every day, who are less open to it, rather than users who occasionally talk a few words.
To send these people an API quota equal to a monthly fee is to get them to move from "using Claude" to "doing something on Claude".
As far as Pro users are concerned, this is the first time we've seen it.
