OpenLoong, organized by the Open Atomic Open Source Foundation and hosted by the OpenLoong Open Source Community, is the first official launch of the Deeply Supported OpenLoong Masters Series, sponsored by the National Local Co-Construction Center for Human Robot Innovation. This marks the official launch of Open Source competitions focused on the challenges of the robotics industry in the country and provides a top-notch technology competition and exchange platform for developers in the field of robotics.

National geographic center: source of technology and industrial steam accelerator

As the initiator and core technical support unit of the OpenLoong open source community, the National Geographic Center has always been deeply involved in the development of open source ecosystems with the dual identity of "technical resource management and industrial fusion accelerators".

As a key driver of human-robot innovation, Shenzhen will continue to provide the OpenLoong open-source community with underlying code library maintenance, simulation testing environments, and real-world computing resources.

02.

Promote research and activate sources of innovation

The first installment of the OpenLoong Masters series directly hits the real-life technical barriers in the development of humanoid robots, and the team can choose to participate in one or both of the two competitions.

• Theme one: Action capture and retrieval

The theme of the competition is to address the lack of human-robot action data, the industry's pain points of poor sporting generalization. Participants will need to use single-lens cameras, extract human-moving features, and accurately replicate human-robot models in a simulation environment. The National Geographic Center will provide participants with their self-developed high-performance robot models, assisted algorithms and deep integration of real hardware characteristics.

• Challenge 2: Physical awareness and navigation

The contest focuses on the autonomous mobility of humanoid robots in complex dynamic environments. Participants will need to develop perceptual navigation algorithms based on visual or multi-sensor integration to enable robots to implement intelligent obstacle avoidance and path planning in unfamiliar environments.

The schedule of the race is clear and welcomes global athletes to reveal the list

Combining open-source forces to tackle industry challenges. The National Geographic Center, working with the OpenLoong open-source community and an ecosystem partner, is committed to building a list of open-source technology challenges, unveiling global hotspots, achieving outstanding results in fast-verification of open-source innovation ecosystems, bringing innovative sources of living water into the human-robot industry's shipping lanes, and allowing each participant's code and algorithms to be a key step forward in advancing China's intelligent personality.
