Claude Plan Upgrade: Max 20x Becomes Ultra as the Five-Hour Limit Is Removed

The original Max 5x package, officially renamed Max (official monthly fee remains unchanged at $100). The original Max 20x top package, officially renamed Ultra (official monthly fee remains unchanged at $200).

It's the first time in the history of the world.

Just now, Anthorpic officials have announced that Claude's top paid package has been upgraded!

The original Max 5x package, officially renamed Max, is still $100 per month.)

The original Max 20x top package, officially renamed Ultra, retains a monthly fee of $200.

If you're already a subscriber to both, and you don't have to do anything, the system will automatically migrate for you.

But what's really exciting is the next line.

"Starting today, we will lift the five-hour limit on validated Ultra accounts!"

图片

What does it mean? It's hard for people who haven't been locked up in "Little Black House" by Claude to feel that kind of choking.

In the past, even if you spent a lot of money on the best packages, Anthropic would still stick your neck out with the "re-set every 5 hours" limit.

When I was writing the code in my library, I was suddenly limited, and it felt like it was collapsing.

But now the lock is completely broken!

Claude Code's father, Boris Cherny, and Alex Albert, confirmed the news for the first time.

For the majority of Ultra subscribers, this benefit comes from the following:Get up today! You can stay up all day and never have to sit back and write code.

The war between Anthorpic and OpenAI has been burned to the ground.

Shenzhen's official price page: From civilians to civilians!

The adjustment will cover most existing Ultra subscribers from the day of the announcement. New accounts will still be temporarily restricted, with the restrictions lifted after automated verification and email notifications.

It seems that in order to prevent the API from being sold off by the "Lamb Party", Anthropic left a hand.

And what?Max is $100 a month, keeping the five-hour limit.

In addition, the total weekly limit remains unchanged. But even so, breaking the five-hour limit is still a big compromise on Claude's path to commercialisation!

What's the official bottom line? We're headed to a brand new pricing page.

图片

It's easy to see that Anthropic now ranks the user's "class" by a clear, knife-like cookie.

In their eyes, users are divided into the following ladders:

First Class: White Panthers and Light Players

Free (free edition)Claude 3.5 Sonnet: Zero cost experience, but poorly rated.

Pro: $17 a monthMore than the free version, support features such as Project Function/Claude Code, and experience Claude's core productivity.

图片

Stage 2: Hardcore developers (the core of this upgrade)

Max: $100/month, originally Max 5x)You're lucky that you don't have enough weight to use the Pro version. At this level, your calculation quota has been greatly improved and your sex ratio is very high.

Ultra: $200/month, originally Max 20x)This is it:Today's host! The prestigious Ultra Club! It's almost as if they're senior citizens who can afford this package.

In addition to the full rights of the individual packages, there are additional rights for the developer packages, but the price does not change!

图片

Anthropic cancelled Ultra's five-hour limit, and the logic is very clear.

Since we are willing to make $200, we have to provide real "first-rate cooking services".

You can't let high-net-worth users get bored after paying, you can finally understand the subscription system of Anthropic.

Hidden eggs are here.

Now, Anthropic has a comprehensive accounting of the rights to the full line of paid packages.

图片

However, after the update, users found that after Max 20x was renamed Ultra, the official website actually said, "The weekly allowance is 10 times Pro".

图片

图片

On the left is the new official pricing page, which reads "10x Pro weekly usage"; on the right is the pop-up window where users click on the back of their accounts to switch packages, and the old "20x Pro usage" text.

Is it the Anthropic who hangs sheep and sells dog meat and slashes quantities?

If you look closely at the documentation, you'll see.

First, let's make it 20 times clearer what's going on.

The "20 times" of the old Max 20x chart, measured in just five hours of a single window, allows you to enter 20 times as many messages as Pro users, but extends to seven days to see the total weekly limit of $200, which has been fixed at 10 times Pro.

After Ultra removed the five-hour one-time limit, the "one-time window 20 times" lost references, and the official website simply unified it with "a total weekly limit of 10 times Pro". So much so that the back-end shutter left the 20x word in the back-end window, which simply missed the old shutter when the front-end update.

Heavy users should be aware of a hidden rule.

If you frequently call the top-of-the-line Fable model in the Ultra package, it has an independent weekly line of defense: you can use up to 50% of your total weekly intake, which equates to 5 times the Pro's weekly allowance.

In addition to the total weekly allowance, Anthropic has also given Ultra subscribers a huge amount of silver and gold: a monthly free Claude platform (the original Anthropic Console) API allowance that has doubled from $100 to $200 for Max!

The $200 API grant, which is automatically billed in monthly billing cycles and cleared at the end of the month, whether it's to get an API running automatic script or to experience the Claude Managed Agents hosting service, is the equivalent of a blank slate.

As the AI giant's algorithm for packages has been overwhelming for the past two days, even Netflix's CEO David Leen has spoken out: "I'm afraid Lean will have to figure out these advantages".

Oh, that looks a little familiar.

图片

It's all 200 knives.

At this point in time, it's too clever.

Just yesterday, OpenAI officially announced that all ChatGPT Pro ratings will be doubled.

Pro 100, Pro 200, Pro 500, the three indigenous grades, as well as Business Premium, have all doubled their maximum use limits and are effective immediately!

图片

The plan to reduce the price of the Pro 200 was also cancelled.

The reason for this is that OpenAI had previously felt that computing power was out of control and had planned to cut the amount of work and codex on the Pro 200 to a minimum.

When the news came, the whole community was blown up: "Return the money!

图片

This explosion, directly frightened by the management of OpenAI, caused the quota to be cut in half to double overnight.

Tibo has been temporarily crowned "Holy T".

Why is it that both companies now have 100 knives and 200 knives for these expensive packages?

Apparently, Plus and Pro users, who pay $20 a month, don't smell like big models anymore.

Now they're competing for high-net-worth clients like programmers, analysts, architects.

Most heavy-duty CC users are not price-sensitive, but focus on flow density and stability.

The removal of the five-hour restriction is a major benefit.

For OpenAI's Pro 200 and Pro 500 users, it would be a huge blow to the ecosystem of OpenAI if they were forced out because of the cost of a few dollars of computing in the area.

Today you lift the restrictions, tomorrow I double my quota, and that's the truth of the matter.

The gap in the underlying model is narrowing, and the computational quota and user experience are becoming a real buffer stream.
