Technical extensions and availability
The official product page describes production-ready application-specific algorithms, including AI fitness and swim-tracking features. Bosch lists Fuser2 current consumption of 950 µA in 20 MHz long-run mode and 2.8 mA in 50 MHz turbo mode; sensor-fusion operation draws 1.2 mA at 800 Hz ODR and 1.0 mA at 100 Hz ODR; standby current is 8 µA. Sensor-fusion calibration is under 1 second, with 0.2-second orientation stabilization. Bosch currently states that the BHI380 is available only for a limited number of projects and considers information requests for projects with a minimum lifetime quantity of 100,000 units.
