Overview

the Water Hydraulics Company products are designed, finish manufactured, assembled and tested at the Company’s premises in Hull. The company has ISO 9001 quality approval and can offer full traceability across much of its Janus range.

Janus motors are based on the axial piston principle for high speed applications or with our range of gearboxes for low speed high torque systems. The motors are available in both fixed and variable displacement configurations.

The Janus range of pumps is based on the axial piston principle, which is both light and compact relative to the volumetric displacement. The displacement can be altered in our variable displacement models. Up to 9 pistons per pump ensure very small pressure ripples, removing the need for accumulators.

Our patented range of control valves actively manages pressure, flow, and water direction. Consequently, they control the speed, torque, and force of motors and cylinders. You can choose valves with manual, hydraulic pilot, or electrical activation.

Janus cylinders feature an all-stainless 316 design for durability and corrosion resistance. They come in various standard rod end and mounting types, such as threaded rods, spherical rod ends, rear and front flange mounting.

Built with the tie-rod design widely accepted in the industrial market, these cylinders can also be customised to meet specific requirements. Standard bore sizes range from 32 mm to 125 mm, other sizes are available on request.

Janus axial piston motors are completely oil free, clean, and safe to use. By incorporating advanced materials and high-velocity sliding surfaces, these motors operate efficiently with water as their sole hydraulic medium, coolant, and lubricant.

This design eliminates any risk of cross-contamination between system fluid and lubricating oil. Each motor minimises vibration and delivers quiet, high-efficiency performance, resulting in a compact and light-weight product.

Our Janus seawater axial piston pumps are totally oil free, clean and completely safe to use. As a result of employing advanced materials, high velocity and loaded sliding surfaces, the range of pumps can operate effectively with seawater as their only coolant/lubricant. This removes the potential for cross contamination of the system fluid or lubricating oil.

Each pump employs technology that minimises vibration and ensures a low noise yet high efficiency operation. The result is an exceptionally small, light-weight product ideally suited for the RO market.

The power centre integrates an axial piston high-pressure desalination pump with an axial piston motor. It uses the pressure in waste brine to assist the electric motor, reducing power consumption to less than 3 kW/m³.

Our power pack provides a compact and flexible power supply solution. Available in a modular design, it can be easily customised or specially built to meet unique requirements.
